BRITTANIE TALLEY
HEAD COACH
Brittanie Talley will be entering her fourth season as Head Coach at Vernon College.
In 2015, coach Talley served as an assistant at D1 Alabama State University, working
primarily with pitchers' technique and administrative tasks within the program. Prior to Vernon
College, she served as a scout in softball camps from Texas, Guatemala and Florida.
In 2011, Talley played professionally for the Skövde Saints in Skövde, Sweden, winning a Swedish League Championship and was named the Swedish League Pitcher of the Year. During that same year, she was the pitching coach for the Swedish National Team in the European Championships.
During the 2011-12 season, she was the graduate assistant for the softball team at Southern Arkansas University of the Gulf South Conference.
As a graduate from Jackson State University in 2010, Talley earned her Bachelors of Science degree in health, physical education and recreation. As a player, she earned a Preseason All-SWAC and Second Team All-SWAC nods during that same year.
Originally from San Antonio, TX, Talley graduated from Ronald Reagan High School and was a 2005 All-District and All-Area Super Team selection.

TORI SMITH
ASSISTANT COACH
Tori Smith will be entering the second half of year one at Vernon College as an assistant coach. She joined the program in January of 2019 upon graduating Cameron University in December of 2018.
Prior to, Smith completed her Senior Capstone as an assistant coach at Cache Middle School. She also aided in the Oklahoma Bulldogs travel ball organization in the summer of 2018.
Smith finished her softball career as a Cameron Aggie after transferring from Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa where she was a two year starter. There she compiled a .380 batting average and was a catcher for the Mavericks.
Originally from Chickasha, Oklahoma, Smith now resides in Vernon, Texas.

RON FROST
ASSISTANT COACH
With 4 years of coaching experience, Ron Frost enters his 3rd year with Vernon College as assistant coach after two years at the Alabama State University as an student assistant coach, then volunteer assistant working with pitchers and outfielders.
His coaching career began at Alabama State University where he was a student assistant from 20012-2013.
From 2012-2014 he help start an travel ball organization based out for Montgomery, AL, Alabama Crush. The organization comprised of local high school kids in the Montgomery county area.
He had a successful two-year stint as a pitcher in the Hornets’ program and was a senior the first year of the Mervyl Melendez area at ASU. Frost transferred to ASU after playing two seasons at Southern Union Community College in Wadley, AL. There he helped the Bison win 77 games in two years with a 7-2 record on the mound and a .311 care batting average.
Frost a native of Atlanta, Georgia now resides in Vernon, Tx.
